Written defamation & verbal defamation. What is the difference?

In law, there are two types of defamation, namely written defamation, and verbal defamation.

A. Defamation in writing (Libel)

Defamatory statements printed or published in permanent form for example on social media,

articles, newspapers or anything in written form against you and spread or transmitted to others.

B. Verbal defamation (Slander)

Defamatory statements are temporary, for example, words of mouth or words that have false

accusations against you and are expressed to a third party.
